Die Cuts & Punches - Craft-Room Challenge DT Card

Hi, it's time for another challenge over at the Craft-Room.  There were stunning entries of hand made flowers in our last challenge (check back next Tuesday for the top 3 and random draw winner).  The theme for the next fortnight has been chosen by the talented Nikki, who has chosen "Die Cuts and Punches".  There's a £10 voucher for Craft-Room Online Shop to one lucky winner in the random draw and, don't forget, there's some blog candy up for grabs as well!

I decided to go with my Cricut for this challenge, as I don't use it nearly as much as I should.   I used one of my favourite cartridges, Forever Young:

I used a DP for a change :-) although not sure where from, and edged it with Victorian Velvet DI.  For the two black outfits, I cut two out from some white card and put them to one side for a later date, and set to work on the negative:  I coloured it with a pale pink chalk ink, overstamped it with a Darkroom Door background stamp (Damask) in a darker pink chalk ink and backed it with some black card and mounted it on some darker pink card which has been border punched at the top and bottom.  I added a little punched flower with a dot of black enamel accents at each hip.

Next, I cut another, slightly larger, outfit from white card and a silhouette the same size from black card.  I coloured the outfit with the darker shade of pink chalk ink, adhered to the silhouette, and added ribbon and gems around the waist.  I cut the umbrella silhouette in black and the top part from white, colouring with the same chalk inks as before and then used a thin paintbrush to add the detail with the dark chalk ink to show the sections.  I cut the sentiment "Style", coloured with the pale pink chalk ink and then sponged over with the darker shade.

For inspiration, check out the fabulous projects by the rest of the Design Team!  I really enjoyed making this and can't wait to see your creations.

I would like to enter my card into the following challenges:-

Ladybug Crafts Ink - Bingo (Middle column)
Crafty Cardmakers - Use it 3 times

I hope you like it.
