'Something Old, Something New' for Craft-Room

Hi

As promised, at DT creation for the Craft-Room Challenge.

Annie has chosen the theme this time, and she would like to see "Something Old, Something New'.  This is what Annie has told us:

'we all have some old craft items in our stash and of course we have some new ones too............ so I would like you to make something which incorporates them both............not too hard............but you are required to list what you have used within your blog post, not just the link to our challenge to be in with a chance to win a prize'

I decided to use a new and unaltered wooden box, along with lots of other stuff which has been in my stash for quite some time - ribbon, muslin, roses, a brad, lavender, fabric, trim, buttons, distress stain and a Stampin' Up quote.  It's very a very simple creation, and was a gift for my friend who recently got married - her young son carried it up the aisle, so it was a bit of a proud moment for me as well!

Wedding Rings Attached and ready for the day

Don't forget to check our rules as they have been altered recently, and please pop over and see what the DT team have created!

Have fun.

...and I'm Back

Hi,

It's been almost a year since I've been active on my blog, and some year at that.

I was diagnosed with Narcolepsy in March 2013, and also with Cataplexy much more recently.

To all my friends who I've not kept in touch with over the past months, I'm so sorry, I found it much more difficult to deal with than I anticipated, and it's taken me quite some time to realise that I had to adjust many things in my life, including personal circumstances, to work around it, as well as taking the medication which wasn't the magic cure that I presumed it would be (apart from knocking 3 stone off me which I definitely won't complain about, lol).

On a happier note, I've started crafting again recently and, although a few days late due to unavoidable work issues and problems, I will follow this post shortly with a DT piece for Craft-Room Challenge.

The girls at Craft-Room have been so very patient over the last year and given me the time I needed so I'd like to say a very huge 'thank you' to them.

I hope to start slowly catching up with people and their blogs soon.

Take care

Maria x
